Do you ever get words or phrases in your head the way you get songs stuck in your head? Or am I the only one? Because I am constantly getting phrases and names stuck in my head. And lately, I get the names of other people's facebook friends stuck in my head (esp. if I see them crop up frequently). And then that makes me wonder if other people are walking around turning my name over in their brains a thousand times, the way you rub your tongue over a rough spot on your tooth, for a whole day. Kind of the way I wonder how many strangers have pictures with me in the background or accidentally in the frame. Like that.

I don't think so, but maybe?

Sort of tangentially, did you read that story about the woman who had a picture from a trip to Disney when she was a kid, and in the background there was a boy in a stroller and it turned out to be her husband!
I realize no as I write this that it looks like spam. Weird. But it's not.

haha, you're so right. And that is an amazing story!! It makes my own story sound lame, about the time I stopped at Old Navy on my way to work and noticed the security guard was super hot and had a really nice smile and was very friendly, and I totally mocked myself for even thinking about him because how the hell would I meet him? But I guess I have my ways because his daughter is sleeping next to me on the couch right now...

I ALWAYS wonder how many other people's pictures I am in the background of. Other people do too? Weird.

Hmmm - nope you're just weird.

Actually, I DO often wonder how many strangers pictures I show up in, and it kind of weirds me out.

Walter and I went to the same school for 2 years before meeting and went to the same bars and such, so I always wonder how many times we were in the same place- like those movies where the two main people keep crossing paths but never notice.

So, how did you meet the hot security guard anyway? :)

Heather, the hot security guard was going to buy a condo from my mom. He has this totally bizarre ability to have a conversation with seriously anyone in the world, and one day after talking to him for about an hour, she thought, "hmm. he has the same sense of humor as Kathy." Emailed both of us about it, and...there you go:) I found out on our third or fourth date that he worked a side job at Old Navy and that was him.

I get phrases stuck in my head all the time.

Like, when I read Oliver and there was this one line where a man says "If that's true, I'll eat my head"

I get that one stuck in my head a lot for some reason. Or if I learn a new word - it'll mull over in my brain for a while.

I blame my mom who taught me to create a list of special words that when you then came across them in random reading - you could do a little celebration just because you read one of them. That's werid. I think. But, for years, reading the word "dormant" always perked me up.

I'm tired. going to bed now so I stop rambling on your blog.
