How happy I am to not be you....Abigail HATED her car seat and it would take 30 minutes to go the 10-minute drive from my mom's house to mine...i couldn't drive and listen to her scream for too long...

Gracie also hated the car, but was generally okay if we were moving. Katie is enraged by red lights, too, but can get just as mad on the expressway. however, she also rarely sleeps in the car, and one day that will be a HUUUGE blessing. We were prisoners the entire time I was pregnant, because G would fall asleep the *second* we got in the car, and even if it was only for five minutes, she'd then refuse to nap. I was way too exhausted to skip naps, so we just never went anywhere. REALLY hoping to skip that move with Katie.

Um. that and the whole "waking at 4:30 every day for a year" thing.

I so feel your pain on the screaming in the carseat. I'm just grateful I don't have toddler screaming at Owen to stop. Although, it might be nice to have someone yell at him, since I can't. :-)

don't worry Mel, one day he'll be really upset by a screaming younger sibling and you'll take perverse pleasure in it. like, "Oh, I'm sorry! Is the constant, endless screaming ANNOYING to you?!?!" of course, it would be nice if having one screamy baby meant you didn't get another, but it just does not work like that.

and juuust as I typed that, Katie looked at me and stuck out her tongue.
